Seaspan Ship Management Ltd.

Seaspan Ship Management Ltd. (“SSML”) provides financial, technical, administrative and strategic services to our public company Seaspan Corporation (NYSE:SSW) which owns a fleet of large, high-quality containerships that are chartered to major shipping lines under long-term, fixed-rate contracts.

The main principal of SSML is the Washington family. Although Mr. Dennis Washington is not directly involved in our business, his philosophy of trust and fairness in long-term relationships with our charterers, financiers, and employees stays at the core of our corporate spirit. Mr. Kyle Washington was appointed Chairman for SSML Board in August 2005. Along with the Washington family, Mr. Graham Porter and Mr. Gerry Wang founded SSML in 2001.  Mr. Graham Porter joined Seaspan in 1992 and is currently Deputy Chairman of SMSL (Seaspan Management Service Ltd). Under his guidance, two of Seaspan’s financing deals have earned top annual awards by Marine Money Magazine.  Mr. Gerry Wang, appointed CEO of SSML in 2005, has been instrumental in developing and maintaining our charter relationships.  For more information on our Directors, see the Seaspan Corporation website.

SSML primarily manages the operations of Seaspan Corporation, one of the largest independent containership owners in the world.  SSML is located in Vancouver, BC, and has over 100 employees. We provide all aspects of ship management services including technical, administrative and strategic support, a particularly exciting area that includes managing new-build projects and searching out additional vessels for acquisitions.

We also manage our two sister companies:  Seaspan Crew Management Ltd. (“SCML”) who man the vessels and Seaspan Crew Management India Private Ltd. (“SCMIPL”) based in Mumbai, India who provide support services to the vessels. Together, we provide a variety of services including purchasing supplies, crewing, training and safety management, vessel maintenance, insurance procurement and claims handling, inspections, and ensuring compliance with flag, class and other statutory requirements. These three companies employ more than 3000 people from all over the world.

We span the globe with operations in Hong Kong, Vancouver, and Mumbai and site offices in China and Korea, and customers in Asia, Europe and South America. While Seaspan Corporation is our main focus, we have designed ships and provided financial services to other marine companies.

Seaspan Corporation plans to grow the fleet and gain an ever larger share of this dynamic industry that currently consists of nearly 4,000 vessels owned by dozens of different shipping companies.
