- Each resume goes through a preliminary screening to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assessment of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
- Knowledge refers to the “domain knowledge” required by a particular rank to function effectively.
- Skills are the learned capacities to perform pre-determined results. These include Managerial skills and Technical skills. Technical skills maybe assessed using Trade tests for certain positions like Electrical Officer.
- Initial Interview
- Candidates who pass the preliminary screening are called in for a first interview by the managers at the appointed manning office.
- Final interview
- Applicants for the positions of senior officer and engineers undergo a second interview at the Company Head Office.
- Pre-contract/Interim agreement
- Applicants that successfully complete the above stages are offered a letter of intent. After this stage, applicants are one step closer to joining the vessel.
