Safety Management System
The Company is committed towards, and provides for:
- The enforcement of safe practices in ship operation and working environment
- establishing safeguards against all identified risks
- continuously improving safety management skills of ship’s personnel, in operations and emergencies, as relate to safety and environmental protection
- employees to all recognize the importance of environmental care and the prevention of environmental pollution.
We have implemented a Safety Management System comprising Company and Shipboard Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure compliance with mandatory rules and regulations, applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by International Safety Management (IMO), Administrations, Classification Societies and the maritime industry. It periodically reviews and sets environmental objectives and targets.
All Seaspan employees are expected to adhere to the Company’s internal Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure the safety and quality of our operations.
Seaspan emphasizes that it is the duty of all employees to act responsibly, to prevent any injury to self, other persons and to the environment.
